We went for dessert and got the famous Frrrrozen Hot Chocolate, and a "modest" slice of carrot cake. The Frrrrrozen Hot Chocolate definitely lived up to its billing, especially if you love chocolate as much as we do. Then they brought out the carrot cake...
It was a lot of fun.
Today, Melanie came and fixed dinner for us at our house, seeing as how her house is now devoid of all pots and pans. She threw them all out for the move. I guess when she moves into her new place, she will be treating herself to a new, grown-up set of cookware.
We ate sloppy joe's and then after dinner, we made all of the kids ice cream cones with the caveat that they all eat them outside. It cuts down on the cleaning bill. This is all of the kids, including Lindsay's brood. She had a hot date tonight with her husband, so I am the daycare center. Zach is the mysterious masked figure hovering above everyone else.
Hip, hip, hooray.

There is a Serendipity here in NYC, too. I haven't been there yet, but I've wanted to if only to try the frozen hot chocolate. It's a pretty popular tourist stop, though, so the lines are always super long. One of these days I'll get there. Judging by your photos, it looks pretty tasty.
I have always wanted to try frozen hot chocolate. Someday!
That is one SICK looking carrot cake!!! And that frozen hot chocolate doesn't look so bad either...Mmmmmm!!! If you feel like taking another friend there during her last week in Nevada...call me!!! Please!!!
P.S. Tell Melanie & the family I wish them all the best with their move to Utah.
That frozen Hot chocolate looks so yummy! I look forward to getting to know you! You seem like a fun gal!
Met you from MMB. Did you enter their fabulouso giveway yet? Over 700 dollars worth of goodies! WOW!
My hubby just got a job in St' George so we are moving. St. George actually but Vegas in ONLY 2 hours away from St. George. Serendipity restaurant HERE I COME!
There's nothing like frrrrozen hot chocolate! Or having someone take my kids all night so I could go stand for Ben Folds. Thanks again!
That restaurant sounds divine! It wasn't even on my radar until I read your post. Now I'm adding it to my "date night" to do list.
Melanie told me about your sloppy joe night and her pans (I'm not good friends with teflon pans either). And then today, my daughter (Mae) cried all the way home from school because it was Haley's last day. Heart-breaking sobs. It's hard when a friend moves away.
