An Uneventful Post

Look at Noelle. See, she really can sit up. And today, I saw her planking, holding herself up like she wanted to start crawling. I am probably going to have to invest in some baby gates pretty soon.

And the rest of the crew...oh boy. These kids are a handful. I especially enjoy how they all love to talk to me, simultaneously, and usually when I am on the phone or trying to get dinner on the table.  It really is uncanny.

Besides this,  I think I might just be the most boring person on planet Earth. Let me see...I woke up, went to the gym and then wimped out halfway through a yoga class. It was kicking my trash and I was not down for the struggle. I made lunch for my kids from a generic Hamburger Helper box, after I took a shower. Wahoo! I took a shower! Then we went to the park and I visited with my friend Melissa while the kids played. After that, we came back and I made a hot dog, potato salad dinner. I did venture to the grocery store with all six kids to get a treat for FHE. Then we did some Family Home Evening and I sent them all to bed.

Yep, pretty darn boring.

Oh, and I forgot. I updated my blog. Unfortunately, I still maintain the same level of boringness from the previous events of the day.

Things to Do

Here are some things my three little monkeys like to do when they are bored.

Rearrange the living room pillows for some good wrestling fun...

String Froot Loops onto yarn... and then eat it all immediately, of course!

Go to the library for some reading time.  This last one had a circus theme.  Julia dressed up like a clown.

Girls Night Out With Miss J

It was a sad, but happy day today. The boys got pummeled in their football game, which is sad. But the football season is over!  Momma is happy about that!

After the game, I took Julia out for some girl time.  First, it was to the salon to get her hair cut.  It has been too tangly and annoying to take care of properly at her age. So we chopped it off to a more reasonable length.  Let me tell you, this girl loves to be pampered. She sat perfectly still as the hairdresser cut her hair.  I waited in the lobby.  Julia thoroughly enjoyed her time in the chair.

I told her to smile, and look at the face she gave me. This girl is unstoppable.

But what she really wanted was a manicure.  I am not the manicure type, but I figured...hey, why not?  But the nail salon was super busy.  There was no way I was going to wait an hour.  We did a little grocery shopping and I bought some manicure stuff for when we got home.  Julia was so excited.

But before we went home, I took her out to eat. I have had so many  boys for so long, I have to learn how to do the girl thing.  I am so glad I have been blessed with a girly girl. As soon as dinner was done, she reminded me that she wanted her nails done.

Julia did really well being patient while I applied each one.

This is one happy girl with her crazy nails.

Life is Much More Fun Without Mom

Here is a little update on the boys' trip to San Antonio.

Since, the water park was not open yesterday, Rinar managed to miraculously find other stuff to do.

1. Denny's
2. Drive-thru safari
3. Snake farm
4. Arcade
5. Movie: "G-Force"
6. Miniature golf (Zach got a hole-in-one)
7. Chick-Fil-A
8. Swimming and hot tub
9. Video games on Dad's phone

Don't you feel sorry for these kids of mine?

I realized that if I had been on this trip, they might, maybe, possibly would have done half of these things.

I am quickly realizing that I am the party-pooper of the bunch.
