Fishing Tournament

Rinar's brother Nordel is on the fishing team for Dixie State College. Did you know that colleges have fishing teams? I didn't.  There was a fishing tournament in Chico, California on January 18th and Rinar decided to bring the hotel to Nordel and his teammate Matt for the weekend competition.  In other words, he pulled brought the trailer and brought a cheering section: Zach and Eli.

Nordel represented Dixie State well and finished in the middle of the pack. While they were out there on the lake, Rinar took the kids around town for a little bit of sight-seeing. Zach and Eli had so much fun and were able to have some good bonding moments: around the fire, eating elk jerky, playing games at the campsite. It was a great weekend for the boys.

Snow Canyon Saturday

While we were in St. George, I really wanted to get out there and experience the area.  It was a perfectly beautiful day, so we had to do a hike. We went with Nordel and his family and it was just great. The light was beautiful and Snow Canyon is an amazing place to go.  We took the kids on a couple of little hikes and made sure to take lots of pictures.

 

Great Basin Equals Great Fun

Well, this was Rinar's last big hurrah before our babies are born. He went with his brothers Lyf and Nordel to Great Basin National Park area in central Nevada. I think it might be the only place they ever going fishing. Which begs the question...is there no other place to fish in the entire mountain west area? I am just wondering.

They had a fun time together and did lots of guy stuff. They even got a round of golf in before they headed up to the great outdoors.






Hmmm....I wonder what they had for dinner...and breakfast...and lunch. I just can't figure it out.
