Snapshots

These are some precious shots from the last two weeks.

Can you believe this little girl and all that hair? Amazing.

Harry and Julia turned 4 the day after I was discharged from the hospital. I really was not in any condition to celebrate properly.  But Rinar and Leah took over.  Rinar took the oldest three to the Lego store to pick out a Lego set for the birthday boy. They had a lot of fun finding the perfect one for this little guy.  I had already found Julia's present months ago, a set of four Disney princess Barbies.  Needless to say, the two were very happy.

Then Leah volunteered to make them a birthday cake and Raef and Zach made the two of them some sweet party hats.

Birthday number 4 was a success.

And they are just too precious with their new sister...

I love this little picture. Here is Noelle with her baby bling.  She has been doing really well.  For the past two nights she has slept all the way through the night, about 7 hours each time. I hope she keeps it up, but regardless, a few nights of uninterrupted sleep are absolute heaven.

Sweet Boy

I love those sweet moments. This kid is full of them.  Our new neighbor Brenan had a birthday last Saturday...8 years-old.  Raef took it upon himself to gather up some of his Legos and other odds and ends he thought Brenan might like.  He put it in a box, wrapped it up (with duct tape), made a card, and all those extra touches any 10 year-old boy would love. You know, like red licorice taped on top.

Love this kid!

Cake Pop Surprise

We got a cool surprise in the mail this week...fancy cake pops. Auntie Heather surprised us,as a belated birthday present for Raef, Zach, and Eli.  The kids loved them. They came in all these fun zoo animal shapes.

Open it Mommy!

Hmmm...yummy!

I heart cake pops.

Sweet Stuff for Sunday

This morning, as we were getting ready for church, the boys gave me my first birthday present: 2 beautiful sets of earrings and an elaborate, beaded necklace. Raef was curious to know how I got the holes in my ears so that I can wear earrings. Once I explained it to him, he told me he was glad he is not a girl. I asked him to elaborate. He explained that he doesn't have to have his ears pierced or be pregnant.

Smart kid.

Eli's latest thing is wearing shoes. He loves to wear the big shoes and finds them, no matter which house we are in. Be careful where you leave your shoes. If they are available, he will take them for a spin and they don't always come back.

Here he is in Dad's flip-flops today and tonight.

After church, Rinar decided he would like to have us take a little drive to see the temple. So after we ate dinner, we headed over there. It was a beautiful night tonight and the temple grounds were peaceful. At least they were peaceful until we arrived.

Once they did a lap around the grounds, they came back to the hill and were running up and down it. Raef and Zach were playing a friendly and very reverent game of tackle. They took their shoes off to enjoy the grass, so of course Eli had to give their shoes a drive around the area. It was a lot of fun.

It is time to go to bed. That is one tired little boy.
