THART'S why it didn't come off after he was born, lol, like with my others)Weight gain is just fine, it's that fat that does us in postpartum.

In my pregnancy book, I love to read and re-read the "break down" of the weight I gain to reassure myself that the weight gain is needed and won't last forever (like you said, a lot of those pounds will come off when *they come out!* lol)

Doncha love my comments today? They read like a book! lol

(Imagine if this was for twins)
Baby 7 1/2 lbs.
Uterus growth 2 lbs.
Placenta 1 1/2 lbs.
Amniotic fluid 2 lbs.
Breast enlargement (yay!) 2 lbs.
Extra blood and fluid volume 8 lbs.
Extra fat stores 7 lbs.

This amounts to 30 lbs. for a single baby.Eve | Inchworm Chronicleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15194431691132769984noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-79376094010400289.post-90936518519756119452009-07-15T10:32:40.422-07:002009-07-15T10:32:40.422-07:00Deep breaths. It's okay!
My body does this, ...Deep breaths. It's okay!

My body does this, too, during pregnancy. One month, I gain 5 pounds, the next 2, the next 15, it's wacky like that.

Your body is just taking what it needs right now so your babies can get their big growing spurts in. As long as your daily food intake involves more than ice cream, your weight gain will not be this way every month! Trust me!

Keep your fat intake mostly Omega 3, 6, and 9 and stay away from saturated fat (use non-fat or low fat milk and yogurt and cheese). That helps soooo much. If you nurse those twin babies afterwards even part time, that weight will melt off!

(Cringing as I face the scale for my prenatal in a week)Eve | Inchworm Chronicleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15194431691132769984noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-79376094010400289.post-1797898453583156092009-07-15T04:23:43.716-07:002009-07-15T04:23:43.716-07:00I feel for you!
